Asake Biography

Ahmed Ololade Asake is a professional Nigerian Musician and songwriter popularly known by his stage name Asake. Ololade Asake was born on the 13th of January 1995 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ololade. 

Asake was born and bred in Lagos with his family. He is of the Yoruba ethnic group and from the South West of Nigeria. He practices the Islamic religion as taught and nurtured in the faith by his Muslim parents. His father is an entrepreneur while his mother was a teacher.

Asake, “Mr Money,” is currently one of the promising young stars in the Nigerian music industry. His recent song “Omo Ope” is topping the Nigerian Apple music charts.


Ololade Asake was born on friday the 13th of January 1995 in Lagos state, Nigeria. He is an indigene of Lagos state, from the South Western part of Nigeria.


Ololade Asake earned his bachelor’s degree in theater and performing arts from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State.


From all indications, Asake appears to be single as he has not diverged any information on his relationship status. Asake is keeping his romantic life out of the public eye as he continues to enjoy his booming music career.


Asake started his career in the arts as a dancer. He was an excellent dancer when he was younger and enjoyed doing it. His area of expertise was cultural dance, and he spent his free time honing his craft. He performed at school functions as a high schooler, delighting his classmates and faculty with energizing cultural dances. He acquired the moniker Asake while dancing.

Asake enjoyed dancing, but he also enjoyed listening to music. He frequently delighted his close friends and classmates with original songs and renditions of well-known tunes, thanks to his booming voice.

He made the decision to combine singing and dancing because he wanted to be a better performer.

Over the years Asake has built his music brand to what it is today. He quickly gained popularity among his audience and gained more ground in the music industry with the help of notable influencers like Broda shaggi, Tunde Ednut.

Some have compared his singing style to Bella Shmurda, Barry Jhay, and Zinoleesky, however his voice is softer and deeper. He is one of the few up-and-coming artists with the potential to dominate the Nigerian music scene, something many of his fans are not surprised about given his incredible voice and his ability to deliver poignant Yoruba lyrics that connect with followers from all backgrounds.

He made his debut with the release of his 2020 single “Lady”. Olamide Badoo signing him to the YBNL Records shot Asake into limelight both locally and internationally. Mr. Money was another song that made him more prominent.

Ololade Asake, his first EP, was made available and became a worldwide commercial success. The Street Pop and Afrofusion music scenes count him among their brightest stars.

Asake released his debut EP, “Ololade Asake” which was an instant commercial hit internationally. He is regarded as one of the top rising stars in the Street Pop and Afrofusion music scenes.


Asake is signed to YBNL Nation owned by Olamide. He was signed to the record Label in February 2022 taking his music career to a whole new level..
